Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

The economy is not the greatest right now and it is probably going to be a while before it is. But one of the luxuries that you do not have to give up is traveling. With affordable places to stay in Florence, Italy, you can have a luxurious Italian vacation even during tough economic times.

There are several ways in which you can save money. The first way is to stay at a boutique hotel. They are very affordable little hotels throughout Florence. All you really need is a clean bed and safety because you’re not going to be spending a lot of time in your room anyway. Well, you’re not going to be if you want to see some of the great things that Florence has to offer. You have the Uffizi gallery, outfitted with over 45 halls of amazing artwork.

Another way to save money is to save some cash on breakfast. The way to do this is to look for a hotel that includes breakfast. There are even boutique hotels offering this particular amenity. You can also stock up on food in supermarkets. Pizza is also something that is affordable because you can feed more than just yourself on a single pizza and you don’t have to really spend more than 6 or 7 Euros on that particular meal.

So exercise some money saving strategies. Make sure that one of those strategies is to stay in 2 star hotels. Although they are 2 stars, that doesn’t mean they are bad places to stay. If you’re going to just be staying a couple of nights, you may want to splurge. But if you’re staying for a week or more and there are a lot of things that you want to see, save yourself some cash so that you can do the things that you want to do. Don’t let something like a bad global economy get you down.
